The Director of Communications represents the unified voice of Three Chopt Presbyterian Church through mass communications and is responsible for TCPC’s virtual presence, manages internal and external communication and implements new processes and mediums in order to improve the functionality and effectiveness of the ways in which we communicate.

You will serve as the TCPC’s staff person for collaborating with staff and volunteers in the planning, organizing, and direction of Music Ministries at TCPC. We have a 9:00 A.M. contemporary worship service and an 11 A.M. traditional worship service. You choose and coordinate music for both worship services under the supervision of the Pastor. Included are the congregational hymns, choir anthems, worship band, communion songs, service music, and special music.
● Your responsibilities include coordinating with the pastor, and staff for audio visual preparations, and working with the office administrator, the communications director, to ensure worship preparation, such as screen presentations, bulletins and communications are prepared on schedule.
● You will direct the chancel choir and the worship band for their scheduled rehearsals, Sunday Worship, and other special worship services.
● You will facilitate music programs within the congregation (including children and youth) to help develop participation and musical talent.
● You will organize and rehearse the children’s choir and hand bell/chime choirs periodically.
● You coordinate with the pastor and the AV Specialist and provides musicians, recorded music and visual content for all worship services (weddings and funerals/memorial services) as requested.
Other services of your position include organizing, planning, and providing special musical offerings and coordinating with other church choirs as needed. Supervising maintenance and use of the church’s musical instruments, choral/instrumental music library, robes and miscellaneous supplies and equipment.

Your position requires 30 hours per week. Our salary range is $29,000 – $32,000 annually. annual and sick leave is available.
Required/Preferred Skills/Experience
1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a choral music director.
2. Proficiency in Keyboard and/or Voice.
3. Proficiency in Organ and/or Guitar is preferred.
4. Committed Christian who understands the mission of the church.
5. Ability to work independently, lead others, and be part of a team.
6. Organizational skills to prioritize and to meet schedules, and to manage rehearsal schedules
